  • Statutory Declaration

  • I hereby solemnly declare that I am participating in the Tyros Triathlon and Aquathlon on my own initiative and at my own risk, and I certify the following:
    • Rules and Safety: I have read the race regulations as well as the safety instructions provided by the organizing committee to ensure that we all swim safely.
    • Nature of the Sport & Assumption of Risk: I am aware that open water swimming is a demanding activity. I understand the nature of the sport and accept the risks inherent to the sea (such as weather changes, currents, fatigue, contact with marine life, or minor injuries). I assume full responsibility for my personal safety and participation.
    • Compliance with Instructions: I commit to strictly following the instructions of the specialized staff to ensure everything runs smoothly and to avoid putting myself or my fellow athletes at risk.
    • Right of Disqualification: I understand that the organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify me or terminate my participation if they deem it necessary for my own safety or the safety of others.
    • Health and Medical Fitness: I solemnly declare that I have been examined by a doctor and certify that I am perfectly healthy and fit to participate. I bear sole responsibility for my health before, during, and after the race.
    • Waiver of Claims: I acknowledge that I will not seek any compensation from the organizing committee in the event of an accident, injury, health issue, or property damage that may occur during my participation.
    • First Aid Provision: I am aware that the organizing committee will do everything humanly possible to provide immediate first aid and medical care in case of an emergency.
    • Release of Liability: I release Tyros Triathlon, its partners, sponsors, employees, and volunteers from any legal or financial claims related to my participation. The organizing committee remains responsible for safety and hospitality matters within the event, except for incidents that could not have been foreseen.
    • Force Majeure & Cancellation Policy: In the event of extreme weather conditions, the organizing committee may need to alter the route or cancel the race for our safety, without the possibility of a registration fee refund.
    • Media Release: I consent to the use of photos and videos from the race in which I may appear, for the promotion and publicity of the event, without any financial claim on my part.
